Sanctuary Decorations

Please see that all of your wedding party and hired service personnel are aware of and carefully observe the following:
1. Liability - The bride and groom are responsible for any damage to the Church Sanctuary, School, Sabbath School Rooms, Gymnasium, Fellowship Hall, Kitchen or grounds.
2. Access to the Church - When access to the Church Sanctuary is necessary, members of your wedding party, florist, caterer, or other personnel must notify the building supervisor in advance.
3. Flowers - Special protective care must be exercised by those providing flowers and plants to see that the carpets, woodwork, and furnishings are protected from water and other possible damage. Mats or dishes should be used under all flowers and plants.
4. Woodwork or Finishes - No tacks, nails, or other objects are to be used that mar the woodwork or finish.
5. Carpets - No tacks, nails, or other objects are to be tacked or stapled to carpet. Painters tape is permitted.
6. Using tape - Scotch tape, Duct tape or Duck tape are not to be used. Use painters tape sparingly and please remove immediately following the wedding ceremony / reception.
7. Vendors - Deliveries are to be completed 45 minutes before sundown on Friday and not begin before 45 minutes after sundown on Saturday. The building supervisor or other Church official needs to be informed when the vendor(s) are to arrive at the Church.
8. Music - Inasmuch as a wedding is a service of worship, it is expected that all music be in keeping with the standards of Christian Worship, placing emphasis on the glorification of God. Some music that is very appropriate for the wedding reception (such as secular songs) may not be fitting for use in the sanctuary. We suggest that you make your music selections from religious or classical music. Music must be approved by the Church's building supervisor before the programs are printed. Sanctuary (continued)
9. Video taping - Video taping is allowed. Please consult with the building supervisor for the best location for a video camera.
10. Candles - Only drip-less candles or candles with drip guards are to be used in the Church and other portions of the facility and must be pre-approved by the building supervisor. Isle candelabras are not permitted due to the slopping floor and inability to secure them to the pews.
11. Smoking, Alcohol - Smoking and alcohol is not permitted in any of our buildings or on the premises.
12. Weapons - Weapons of any kind are not permitted on the grounds or in the buildings.
13. Dressing areas - Any areas used for dressing other than the areas indicated on the Church building floor plan (attached) for the bride and groom should be clearly designated and approved by the building supervisor. Exceptions require advance approval from building supervisor.
